By just walking two blocks east from Strickland Arms to Duval St. and four blocks south, one may dine at one of the three casual restaurants of varied cuisine nestled at the edge of the Hyde Park neighborhood.

Across Duval one will find the Hyde Park Bar and Grill , which offers a pretty good selection of American dishes. One of their specialties are batter-dipped, fresh-cut, french fries. Their hamburgers are also quite good.

Just north of Hyde Park Grill, on the corner of 43rd, you find Julio's , that offers excellent Tex-Mex, as well as delicious whole, half, or quarter roast chickens.
